Harvest description & origin details
Our Kashmiri Lal Mirch Powder is made by taking genuine whole sun-dried Kashmiri chillies (Marchwangan), removing the wooden stems and excess yellow seeds by hand, and then gently grinding them in a traditional stone mill.
Most commercial chilli powders in the market mix artificial red dye, brick dust, or cheap high-heat Teja chillies. Our powder is 100% pure Kashmiri chilli only. Because we grind at slow speed, the natural essential oils and deep red colour are not burned by heat. It gives your gravies and curries that appetizing Kashmiri red look with mild, comfortable warmth that children and elders can enjoy without acidity.
Use it in your everyday paneer, chicken, mutton, biryani, rasam, and sambar. Just one or two teaspoons gives royal colour without excess teekhapan.
Traditional Slow Stone-Grinding
Modern high-speed commercial pulverizers produce heavy heat that burns the delicate red pigments and aromatic oils of Kashmiri chillies. We grind our whole chillies slowly in local stone mills, keeping the powder cool, fragrant, and richly pigmented.
How to use
Add 1 to 2 teaspoons directly to hot oil, ghee, or your tomato-onion masala while cooking. For tandoori marinades or gravies, mix with curd or warm oil to release maximum natural red colour.
Storage Instructions
Store in an airtight jar in a cool, dry pantry away from sunlight. Do not leave the lid loose.
